Are students who attend Grace Christian Academy required to attend Grace Community Church?
No. Grace Christian Academy is a community that comes from over 40 different churches in the valley. There are several opportunities for students and families to attend GCC events on campus, but it is not required.
Is there a preschool?
Yes. We are a Pre-Kindergarten – 8th grade Christian school. Children must be 3 years of age by September 1st. Preschool graduates receive priority in the kindergarten admissions process.
What is the minimum age to begin kindergarten?
Children must be 5 years of age by September 1st.
What is the average class size?
Preschool classes have a 1 teacher to 9 student ratio. The average classroom size from grades K-8 is 20 students per class.
Do students wear a uniform?
Yes. Kindergarten-8th grade students are required to wear a GCA royal blue polo and khaki bottoms on chapel days and on field trips. All other school days, students are required to wear any GCA logoed shirt (t-shirts or polo shirts) and any appropriate bottoms. When does the Admissions season begin?
The admissions season begins in January for the following fall school year. Parents and students are encouraged to experience the GCA community at one of our admission events. Go to Plan a Visit to register.
Mid-semester applications may be accepted if there is room in the class. For a mid-semester transfer, call the school office at 480-966-5022.
What is the review process for an application?
The goal at Grace Christian Academy is to match students/families with our school mission statement. Parents of kindergarten through 8th grade students meet with our Administrator to discuss the spiritual and academic needs of the student prior to admission.
When will families receive the admissions decision?
After a completed application is received for kindergarten-8th grade students, our school office will schedule an interview with the Administrator. Families will be notified shortly after the interview process.
If space is available in preschool, families will be informed during the campus visit.
Does GCA offer financial assistance?
Grace Christian Academy has a one-time Administrators Scholarship that is awarded in July to selected new 1st-8th grade students. GCA also partners with several tuition scholarship organizations. These relationships help make Christian education accessible to many. In the past three years, GCA families have received $1,339,181.15 through tax credit scholarships. We remain committed to educating our current families and new families on how the scholarship program works.
What kind of training does school staff undergo to ensure they are prepared for a safety situation?
Safety is a high priority at GCA. Faculty and staff review the safety procedures before each school year. GCA conducts a number of drills several times a year so students and staff have an opportunity to practice what they need to do in different kinds of emergency situations. After each drill, an administrative debriefing meeting occurs.

Areas of Grace Christian Academy‘s large campus were built before 1980. An AHERA accredited inspector conducts inspections every three years. Reports are kept in the school office and are available to be reviewed upon request.
